It is clean, and no need for glue, although it is only one color. We can draw the marks based upon what you want, even on the round surface. The picture as above is engraved on an excircle surface, move step by the index plate, and engrave step.

We can mark aluminum alloy, stainless steel.  It would be better that the surface is pre-machined well, and then we can get a nice effect.
